Virus – Medication Coupled with Prophetic Methods.

All praise belongs to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the final messenger Muhammad:

It is probably true that this may be the moment of maximum spread of the virus. This should also be time for us to increase in turning back to Allah beseeching Him begging for His mercy. Our guide in all matters the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught us the Dua can halt even the Qadr from decending.

Whilst it is recommended to pursue a course of medication if afflicted, our prophet too showed us many methods through which cure can be attained for any sickness.

Reading the Quran for Ruqyah like Surah al- Fatihah .

Giving charity, the Prophet recommended to treat the sick with Sadaqah.

Using honey as Allah informed us regarding medicinal nature of honey.

Hijaamah is a well established treatment.

Using Senna leaves also.

And also saying with hand placed on the place of pain.

بسم الله، ثلاثَا، أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد وأحاذر،

Bismillaah. Three times With the Name of Allah (three times).

Then say :’A’oothu billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ‘ajidu wa ‘uhaathiru.I seek refuge in Allah and in His Power from the evil of what I find and of what I guard against.

Whilst I know we all know this reminder is always useful for us.

Whilst these are all causes for curing, Allah is the originator of all of causes. مسبب الأسباب.

Being Prompt!

“Shaikh al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, used to teach us to be precise for appointments.

An example of that is when I would invite him to visit me or if I accompanied him to an invite, he, may Allah have mercy on him, would not turn up late or early for the set engagement. Once I invited him over at 1 pm and he arrived in his car before that by a quarter of an hour, and remained seated in it and did not get out until the time was due. I was not aware of the Shaikh’s presence, it was the people who accompanied him who told me about that [later]. When I asked the Shaikh about that, he said, ‘Because before the [set] time you’re busy preparing for the guest’s arrival at [that] specified time, if we were to come in before it, we’d divert you from your preparation for your guests.’ So may Allah have mercy on our Shaikh, how precise his understanding was! And how keen he was to act upon the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم.

When he, may Allah have mercy on him, was invited to a place he would not take anyone with him unless the host had permitted him to. One time I invited him saying, ‘Our Shaikh! I invite you to lunch with me tomorrow,’ and by that I meant him and his wife, Umm al-Fadl. The next day he came alone so I said to him, ‘Where is Umm al-Fadl?’ So he replied, ‘You didn’t mention to me that I should bring Umm al-Fadl with me. And we stick to being precise in what is said.’”

Golden words: The Departure of Ramadan

“O Servants of Allah! Ramadan is set to move on, and only a little of it remains. If anyone has done well during the month thus far, it is incumbent on him to complete the month in a good fashion. While anyone who has fallen short let him finish in good shape. Only a few days and nights remain, so bid it farewell with righteous actions that will testify for you before the All-Knowing King.
The hearts of the righteous people are filled with longing, lamenting from the pain of departure. How can a believer not shed tears upon its [Ramadan] departure when he does not know if he will live to see it again? O Ramadan! Be gentle, the tears of your lovers are pouring out. Their hearts are torn from the pain of your departure. Perhaps standing to bid you farewell will extinguish the burning fire of longing. Perhaps taking a moment to repent will mend everything that has been torn in fast. Perhaps one cut off from the procession of those whose fast has been accepted will be joined with them. Perhaps the one imprisoned by his sins will be freed. Perhaps one deserving to be punished in Hell will be liberated. Perhaps the mercy of the Lord will be granted to the sinner.”

Treating others well.

waves_crashing_on_rocks-t2

“There is nothing more beneficial for the heart than treating people well and wanting good for them. If you do this, you will gain the love and affection of strangers; you will maintain the companionship and love of friends; and your kindness will extinguish the fire of hatred raging in the breast of your enemy…”

“The person who treats others kindly and thinks well of them, will find that his intention will remain true, he will feel at ease, his heart will be sound and Allah will protect him from evil and calamity.”

Imam ibn al Qayyim (rahimahullah) ~ Madarij al-Salikeen 2/511

Fight the laziness!

البعض يقول عندما أريد أن أقرأ القرآن أشعر بالكسل ؟ هذا من الشيطان لا يريدك أن تقرأ ؛ لأنه يعلم أن القرآن هو الطريق للسعادة . فجاهد نفسك .

Some say that when they wish to read the Qur’an they feel laziness and consequently are unable to read the Qur’an. This is from shaytaan who does  not want you to read the Qur’an because he knows it is the path to happiness and success. Therefore push yourself and strive to read the Qur`an.

No Gift Better than Patience

~ Seeking forgiveness is among the causes for removing and reducing calamities, because calamities befall due to sins. Allah said:

“Allah seized them for their sins.” [40:21]

“We destroyed them for their sins.” [6:6]

“We could afflict them for their sins.” [7:100]

~ Most evils befall a person due to his lack of patience; if he had been patient, he wouldn’t have said what he said or did what he did.He ﷺ said, “No one is granted a gift better and more comprehensive than patience.”

~ The of Allah is not all the same in virtue, but varies according to time, place and situation. The best in the late night (before Fajr) is and the best dhikr in the morning and evening is .

~Whoever possesses the ability to aid the oppressed but holds back, Allah will hold him accountable according to the amount of oppression he was able to remove but abandoned because he is a partner in oppression, and oppression can be by abandoning just like it is by doing.  ~ Shaykh Abdul Aziz al Tarifi

An hour that passes quickly…

“The Quran refers to “those who followed him in the hour of difficulty.” How beautiful the Quran’s expressions are. It refers to difficulty as an hour that passes by quickly and then is over, not as something that overwhelms one’s whole life.”

For an improvement in any situation…

“If you want to rectify your heart, or want to see betterment in your child or companion—or whoever it is for that matter, then direct them to places where the Qur’an is recited and direct them to be in the company of the Qur’an. Allah will then cause them to become better, whether they are willing to it or not.”
Imam ash-Shafi, in: ḥilyat al-awliya’ 9/123.

Be Merciful, Good and Give the Best of Yourself to Others

alien-landscape-artwork-detlev-van-ravenswaay

“You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.” ~ Harvey S. Firestone

❝The believers whose faith is close to perfection are the ones who show greatest mercy❞ Ibn al-Qayyim, in: Ighathat al-Lahfan 2/913

“Allah will never forget goodness that you put forth, a worry that you relieved from someone, or happiness that you brought to someone’s sad heart. Be good to others even if you yourself are not greeted with good. It’s not for them but rather for Allah as He loves those who do good.” Shaykh Arefe
