So Adhere to Duaa.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Duaa is beneficial with regard to what has already taken place and what has yet to take place  so adhere to duaa, O slaves of Allah.”

I apologise profusely for the delay in responding to you. may Allah reward you for your patience. aameen

The explanation I found quoted to the hadith above, is in arabic and at present I dont have enough time to translate it. But to summarize the general points of the hadith are as follows:
    – that by being able to make du’aa Allah has blessed you and granted you a great privilege of being in a position whereby you can ask of Him any wish you have.
    – duaa opens the gates of mercy and thus enables you to be a person who is concentrating with Allah …(this is due to your asking and imploring of Him)
    – its the best thing that could happen to you as its better for you to ask and beg Allah to fulfill your needs as opposed to begging and asking of people and generally being in need of them
    – via praying and making duaa you may ask Allah to decrease / remove calamities, trials and tribulations of life.

Those are some of the points from the explanation to the hadith.

I hope this reply though short and general was of some benefit to you.

    Was salam
